Registration drones from abroad

If you have a identification or an registration edited by an authority from another country that allows to identify the drone, you are exempted from registering the drone in Belgian aviation register.
If you have only a number from the manufacturer or your own numbering system, you have to register the drone in Belgian aviation register.

Certificate of conformity

If you have a certificate of conformity or other equivalent document delivered by another competent authority, this document can also be recognised in Belgium. If you have more questions about this subject, please contact the BCAA via rpas.tec@mobilit.fgov.be.

 

Pilot licence / training certificate

There is no recognition foreseen of a pilot licence or training certificate delivered by another authority.
However, if you have a licence type Part-FCL, you can receive as the Belgian pilots an exemption on following the theory courses and on passing the theoretical examination.

Operator from abroad

If you have already an approved operations manual, you need to re-enter it at the BCAA for approval if the minimal elements required by the regulation are dealt with in the operations manual. If you don’t use the BCAA template, it is advised to make an cross reference table in order to show where the minimal elements are to be found in the operations manual.
